Stage 3 - Tank Cleaning
When Stage 2 has been completed, any remaining base oil in the recycling tank will be transferred and replaced with a water/detergent mix for solids removal and tank cleaning.
The detergent will be pumped from the recycling unit, or tote tank on deck (P3) through pipework or hoses to the PitGun.
The PitGun operator will then concentrate the jets on the walls and roof of the tank and on solids build-up under pipe work and in the corners of the tank.
The jets will break down the solids and push them to the suction assembly where they are removed and re-circulated to the recycling or tote tank.
